Kids 'N' Stuff children museum

Even though the children museum in Albion, MI is quite dated and way smaller than the one we visited in Chicago, it was fun to spend an afternoon on the free admission day. It's adorable to watch the kids role-playing in the supermarket, the post office and the bank. You get to withdraw money from the bank and do grocery shopping; be a customer, a bagger, and cashier in the supermarket; pretend to be a mailman delivering letters to the mailboxes scattered all around the places. The craft room has a variety of crafting activities and an art room for the kids to paint. There's even a dress-up room to let the kids dressing up and then go on the stage performing their talent.

Kalamazoo county fair

The excitement and thrill of all the fun rides at the Kalamazoo county fair made Elle a very happy kid. On a side note, when you ask your husband to dress up your little girl nicely for an outing, he put her into a "comfy" outfit.

Frederick Meijer Garden

While Elle floated the boat in the water and caught fishes with the net at the Great Lakes garden, I spotted the words engraved along the water pool. Do you know what H.O.M.E.S stands for? It's Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior. The 5 great lakes in Michigan.

39 month olds

Dear Elle,

"How about we can make fruit salad?", that's how you always answer back when mama asks you what should we eat.

It's really cute hear you screaming, "The paper truck is coming! Hurry! Let's go!" when the mailman's truck stops at our mailbox. It becomes a routine for you riding on your trike to check what's the lady (postwoman) put in our mailbox.
One day at the shower, you stood on one foot with the other pressing into your upper thigh (like a yoga's tree pose) and shrilled cheerfully, "This is number 4!".
You love playing board games even though you don't know how to play them.

You express your anger by making the "Grrrr.." sounds, crossing your arms, turning your head and walking away.

When we ask you what do you want for pet? You said, "A purple puppy.".

You make a sad puppy face saying, "Sometimes you don't love me. Sometimes you make me sad.".
That day mama asked you to throw something into the garbage can, I heard you murmuring to the thingy, "You lost your job now!" and then throwing it into the garbage can.

love,
mama

Lake Michigan

When I happily announced that we reached the beach, Elle looked around and started whining, "Not here! This is not the beach!". Oh boy, my 3-years-old was driving me nuts! Even though I kept assuring her that was the beach, she shook her head kept saying NO in tears. I begged her to tell me why she thought this was not the beach and finallly she blurted out, "SEE! That is OCEAN!... and ocean has SHARKS!". Oh boy, her response surely amused me and made me speechless at the same time. Lake Michigan indeed looks like an ocean!

Regardless of the drama we had upon arrival, she was having a blast playing with the sand and crashing the waves in the water. Her smiley face and bubbly giggles made my heart sings.
