Little Bunny

Elle has bunny ears! Isn't she a sweetie?

The highlight of this week is Elle babbling by herself for 15 minutes straight. We couldn't stop laughing when she did it for the first time. She can even babbling and chewing her hands at the same time, not that it really matters since we can't understand what she is "talking" about anyway.

Elle can sit up by herself now, with occassionally topple over. Her new favorite "sitting" game is falling back intentionally, giggling and then pulling herself up and starts all over again.

Her favorite toy is nothing but a simple cloth, anything fabric will do, like a blanket or towel. She grabs them and then chews on them. Cloth seems to calm her somehow. Give her a towel, she can stay put for more than half an hour. Give her a musical mobile, in 5 minutes she will yak about her boredom.

She is already a full-fledged saliva factory that we can barely keep up wipping off her drools after her. She is in a stage of practically puts everything into her mouth. She even loves licking our hands or arms whenever they are at close range to her mouth.

Baby is full of wonders. We love you, Elle.

Biter

Elle got bitten by another baby! I could hardly believe my ear when I heard this news. It happened this afternoon when Elle was on the bouncer, a baby in the same room climbed up onto the bouncer and bit on Elle's leg, leaving behind a tiny red teeth mark. Oh well, the baby biter will be moved to the crawler room tomorrow.

Isn't hilarious that we got to deal with the biter issue at Elle's 3 months old?

Aah Bluuuee

We have been aah-bluuueeing, imagine blowing your lips like a motorboat, to Elle for quite a while and she always looked entertained by our motorboating lips.

Yesterday, Elle made some funny noises apart from her usual oohing, aahing, and high-pitch squealing. We were skeptical of what we heard at first until we realized she was making her own little motorboating sounds.

We're proud parent. Elle steps up to be a "Aah-bluuuee" baby.

Little reader

In Elle's little world, book meant to be not only fun to read, but also good enough to taste. Her verdict is, her hands taste much better than the book.

It's TGIF

TGIF is the excitement element again! Yup, I've been back to work for a week and friday no doubt becomes the day I'm looking forward to. In the past 3 months, days slipped by so fast and I lost track of what day it was, which I could care less about. Instead, I'd cheer for TEIG, "Thanks Elle It's a good day". Elle decides which day it is and I can totally count on her to that.

I got a sleepy, hungry baby picked up from daycare again. TGIF! Elle will get fed well, sleep well and have a good time with her mama and papa on the weekend.

Good night and have a sweet dream, baby.

Yawning baby

Yawn... yawn... yawn... Elle was so tired at her first day in daycare. She didn't get much naps today. She is a tummy sleeper but the law requires the daycare to put babies sleeping on their back. That makes Elle a yawning baby.

When I picked her up in the evening, she was falling asleep on the caregiver's chest. My heart ached when I was told that Elle only finished less than half bottle milk on her last feeding. My poor girl, being sleep-deprived and loss in appetite. My sleepy baby opened her eyes when I settled her into the car seat. She greeted me with a tiring smile and dozed off again.



She slept soundly since the car ride home. Till we woke up her around 8pm she was still a very sleepy baby. She frowned and yawned a lot, finally she broke into a heart-melting smile.

3 months old

Elle is a 13-pounder now. She has been sleeping for a 9-hours stretch through the night since last week. She likes playing with her saliva, wriggling her tongue, flashing smiles, oohing and cooing. She loves being hold in sit up position. She is a hand-sucker. When giving her binky, she'll latch on for a few seconds and then the binky will fly out of her mouth.
