Acknowledgement of pregnancy

Before my pregnant belly shows, Hin and I loved to joke about me being looked fat rather than pregnant. People called me "Miss". I was asked for my ID when I bought a lottery ticket. I was treated like a normal person.

Things have been changed since yesterday. A lady came to me and asked about how far along am I. I hear people calling me "Mad'm". I start getting a lot of "Oh, you're pregnant" look and friendly smiles on my bump. Now, people see me as a pregnant lady, not a fat lady. Sweet.

I feel heavy now. It's a challenge to knee down to tie the shoelace. I feel clumsy getting in and out of the car. My bump gets in the way while I'm paddling on the stationary bike.

Unbelievable. The temperature in Kalamazoo hits 80F today. It was in lower 40F a couple days ago. No wonder people like to call crazy weather = Michigan weather.

Roller Coaster

Is it right that pregnant women is riding on a "hormone" roller coaster? I don't think I am riding one. At least, that's nothing too much that Hin can't handle. I consider myself pretty well-behaved.

I start feeling my baby's kicking around my 30 weeks. Being a first-time mom, I'd say a single kick feels like a thunder, and a continuous movement of twisting and stretching feels like a roller coaster running by inside my belly. Watching my belly poking out as the baby is moving inside amuses me.

Have you seen a baby foot impression on a pregnant belly? This photo blows my mind off. It's indeed amazing no matter of it's a hoax or miracle.

Fluffies in the mail

Cloth diapering never came across my mind when I knew that I'm pregnant. Hin is the one who thinks we should cloth diapering for our baby, you know, the old fashioned flat-fold way. I was reluctant in the beginning until I discover the whole new world of cloth diapering options offered nowadays. There are so many CD systems you can choose from: prefold, fitted, AIO (All in one), Pocket, etc., and they're indeed cute! Not to mention they're reusable, natural and save money in the long run. Now, I am addicted to receiving fluffies in the mail. For friends who are expecting their baby, will you consider cloth diapering? If you didn't give it a second thought before, give it a try now.

It's my time to shine

My pregnant belly did not show much until recently. Yeah, I'm able to show it off now and share the joy with you friends!

EDD updates

My EDD has been changed from April 28 to May 8 after the ultrasound visit. Not a big deal. It's just about one week later than the initial EDD. She will be a spring baby anyhow.
