Cherry u-pick

I finally accomplished my first attempt of making "Bak Zang" even though the dumpling festival had been overdued for a few days. We had them for breakfast before heading out for cherry u-pick.
All fruits are ripening about two weeks ahead of normal schedule this year. Again, we went back to the usual suspect place for cherry u-pick. There're two little pockets on each side of Elle's dress. It's funny to watch her stuffing the cherries inside the pockets and then taking them out for munching.

it's a pain to pit the cherries to make any kind of dessert. We simply freeze them and eat them frozen like a icy snack.

My "bak chang" didn't taste as good as my mom makes. She won a champion and a 2nd prize on the "bak chang" competitions this year :)

My mom sold her "shao bao" at our high school annual celebration last weekend. Very "lak gu", all gone within an hour.

Next time you're back to Kluang, drop by my house and ask my mom to make some for you. :)

PT, still remember eating the ones you made when we were beachcombing on the st. joe's silver beach :). Wrapping it nicely is still a challenge to me.
