July 4th weekend ~ Part 2

While most of the people having BBQ on July 4th, we were having a steamboat. Well, my friend said it's a firework steamboat party.

The weather was on the cool side for water fun. Still, the kids had a blast going down the water slide, cheering with excitements.
At nightfall, the whole neighborhood was blasting away with fireworks. The festive blasting noises echoing off the sky in celebrating the fourth of July. Boy, it sure brought back childhood memory of playing firecrackers during CNY. It was a blast!

July 4th weekend ~ Part 1

After cherry picking at the orchard, we headed to the Lake Michigan beach at Westside Park.
Cloudy sunny day with a cool breeze. The weather was so pleasant for beachcombing.

Zoo trip

Leisurely strolled around the Lincoln Park zoo in a pleasant afternoon. Our little one chased after the pigeons in the field and smiled with a glee at the animals saying "Hi, little fella!".
