Merry X'Mas
Finally we got an itsy bitsy Christmas tree this year to celebrate the magic of Christmas. It all started with Elle got an ornament gift from the daycare and asked about the Christmas tree. The moment we took the tree out of the box, she immediately went looking for the ornament and wanted to put it on the tree. She took a glance at the tree and pointed at the tip of it asking, "What about the star?". It never cross my mind that she knew about the star topper on Christmas tree and we promised we would get one soon.
A couple days before Christmas, we got a package from a mailman and Elle took it and wanted to open it. I told her we should put it under the tree and wait till Christmas day. She agreed and handed it over to me. At then, her dada asked if the package was his and wanted to check it out. I handed it over to him and Elle started getting nervous about dada was going to open up the package. She barked "NOOO!" and pointed her finger at the tree saying sternly, "YOU PUT IT UNDER THE TREE!". Oh gosh! We burst into a long, loud belly-laugh.
On the Christmas eve night, we put up the Christmas tree all together. Oh, seeing the joyful face of the little one putting the ornaments happily all by herself was priceless. With presents placed underneath the tree (no cookie and milk left for Santa Claus though), we're ready to open them up on the Christmas day.
We had a rainny Christmas day this year. The snow was melting away and it's been drizzling all day long. After breakfast, it's time to open up the presents. In no time, the wrapping papers were scattered all over the floor and Elle was delighted with her presents and had hours of fun playing them.
This year, we made a simple, yet succulent rib roast, tasted as good as the one we'd order in a restaurant. Having glasses of holiday cheers on our Christmas dinner.
Have a happy merry Christmas! Enjoy our groovy elves dance!
